PRICING: Please note that all prices are in U. S. Dollars. We take money orders in U. S. funds from all countries.. Shipping and handling are not included.

ORDER PROCESSING POLICY: After you submit your order, you will receive a computer-generated confirmation that your order was placed. If there are extra shipping, handling or other charges for your order, we will let you know the amount when the order is confirmed.

If you are paying by check or money order, your order will be held for seven (7) days. If payment is not received within that time, the hold will be removed from the item(s) and they will be returned to stock.
If payment is made by check, we will hold the item for you for an additional 10 to 15 days until our bank clears your check. Current applicable fees will be charged in cases of bounced checks.
Item(s) paid for by money order are shipped If you are paying by credit card, PayPal, or Google Checkout your order will be shipped no more than 3 business days after receipt of cleared payment. We will not charge anything until the item is in hand.

Our order processing time is approximately 2-3 days after payment clears. Normally, you should expect shipment to take about a week within the mainland United States, though U.S.P.S. Parcel Post takes approximately 2 weeks and sometimes up to 3 weeks within the U.S.A. We will process orders as quickly as possible after payment. A telephone number is necessary for FedEx Ground, UPS, and Standard shipping. Standard shipping is either U.S.P.S. First Class or ParcelPost, FedEx, or UPS. Standard, FedEx and UPS also require a street address, as FedEx and UPS cannot ship to post office boxes. FedEx Ground is not available outside the mainland U.S.A. and Canada. Standard shipping is by the least expensive and most practical way. It varies between FedEx Ground, sometimes UPS, and insured Parcel Post, insured Media Mail, and sometimes in cases of small light packages by insured Priority Mail or insured First Class mail for orders 13 ounces or less. Please note on order form desire for First Class Mail or Media mail shipping and rate will be adjusted.

SALES TAX: Sales taxes (if any) are calculated based on the location to which the product is being shipped. In our area of California that is 8.75 percent, though it may be higher or lower in other parts of Calif. We do not currently charge tax for items sent out of state and if a valid Calif. dealer resale number is sent sales tax can usually be removed if item is for resale in an appropriate business.

OUR SHIPPING POLICY: Most items will be shipped by Best_Way-Standard. We may elect to ship by some other carrier and will notify you if that is the case. All orders shipped to addresses outside the U.S. will be shipped by insured Express Mail International, Insured Priority Mail International, and for very small orders under 4 pounds or catalogs via First Class Mail International insured through Shipsurance. Shipping to Canada may be by insured Express Mail International, insured Priority Mail International, First Class Mail International, UPS Canada Standard, or the newest FedEx Ground to Canada, which is slightly less than UPS. However, we do not list UPS or FedEx for Canada because some customers have reported exhorbitant brokerage fees added onto prepaid shipments, which is never the case with postal shipments. International shipping is more and varies according to country, value, weight, and shipping method. Priority Mail International cannot be insured by the post office if it is sent in an envelope or small flat rate box though this may be a practical and economical way to send items like catalogs and paperdolls. We are insuring these packages and more of our packages through the post office for everyone through Shipsurance, an outside insurance service.
On credit card and PayPal orders, international shipping needs to have complete addresses with billing and shipping addresses within the same country and preferably shipped to the billing address. We do not lie about the value of goods on customs forms, so do not even ask. If you are in a country not listed please send a message and we will check and see if we can add your country.
The U.S. Postal service cannot be used for sending very large packages like Himstedt dolls to many countries; these can be sent by FedEx or UPS, but the cost is very expensive, and a customer should be willing to accept that. Such shipments can be arranged.

OUR RETURN POLICY: We're certain you'll be happy with your merchandise. We take extra care to fully describe our items, including any flaws. If you have any questions about the item(s) you are ordering, please use our question form to ask us about the item before placing your order.

If that rare occasion arises where you feel you must return an item, please contact us for return instructions within three (3) days (by phone or email) of receipt of your item(s). Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when it was sent to you excluding any shipping/insurance costs for which you were responsible. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return.

OUR RESTOCKING POLICY: We charge a 10% restocking fee on returns for other than misrepresentation or a flaw that escaped inspection when credit cards or Pay Pal are used. This fee may be waived when item is exchanged.

OUR DAMAGE POLICY: You must take the entire order (all contents and all original packing material) to your local U.S. Post Office, FedEx Ground, or UPS office to file a claim. The U.S. Post Office will send the claim to us for processing. Do not repack and do not mail the damaged items back to us. This will void the U.S. Post Office insurance and we will not be able to give you a refund. We are still learning the Shipsurance process for claims.

Shipping can be combined to lower overall costs for multiple items. Inquire or see shipping.html chart available through 'Links'. Return within 7 days for exchange--you pay postage both ways unless we sent the wrong item or misrepresent an item. Item should be returned in the same condition as it was when it was sent. Otherwise returns must be for exchange of item of same value.

So far, we have not found a practical way to do layaway via orders placed through this site.
