| Susan Gibson of Reeves International First Ladies Doll approximately 14 inch Dolly Madison vinyl doll is dressed in a replica of her ball gown that she wore at James Madison, her husband's first Inaugural Ball. Her husband was our fourth President, and he was in office during the War of 1812. Dolly has a reputation as a charming hostess and also for saving the painting of George Washington when the British attached Washington D.C. She has brunette wig that is put up and encircled by a pink band, and blue eyes. Susan Gibson reproduced the historical inauguration ball costume as closely as possible. It is a gorgeous empire-style cream colored formal evening gown with pastel embroidered flowers. This style is like formal fashions of the early 1800s. This doll is a piece of history.
