*Note: It normally takes 3-5 days for an order to ship after it is placed and sometimes longer if the weather here is bad. Then there is the additional travel time to you. The Fed Ex shipping costs have risen sharply with shipping to homes in rural areas and Areas on the East Coast especially costly, so standard shipping for packages weighing under 3-4 pounds most likely will mean sending packages USPS 1st Class if 13 oz or under, Priority if 14 oz to not over 2 pounds, and FedEx Ground or Parcel Select for heavier packages within the mainland USA. Packages to Hawaii and Alaska need to go USPS Priority or Express Mail, though 1st Class Mail will work for small packages 13 ounces and under. USPS rates have also risen, but to a lesser extent than FedEx Ground. We use Endicia or InsurePost, a division of Shipsurance for shipping insurance for USPS packages and sometimes for the amount of FedEx packages over $100.00.

If a package is international, Express Mail International takes a week and can be tracked, Priority Mail International takes 2-3 weeks and cannot be tracked to countries other than Canada, and First Class Mail International takes 4-6 weeks or longer sometimes even up to 8 weeks; allow up to 6 weeks. Insurance claims cannot be filed until 45 days have passed or 60 days for Italy. Postal rates to First Class Mail International will have the steepest increase of all on Jan. 27th. However, most packages traveling by Priority Mail International will be tracked except for envelopes and small flat rate boxes. There will be delivery confirmation on First Class Package Mail International sent to Canada, though not yet other countries.
