This is part of a collection that honors Raggedy Ann's 90th birthday, and it was produced in a limited edition of 2000 for Ashton-Drake Galleries along with other sets of Raggedy Ann and her Storybook friends. The doll and plush camel resemble a 1940s illustration by Justin Gruelle of Johnny Gruelle's family. Johnny Gruelle wrote 29 of these books based on the stories that he told his daughter, Marcella, when she was terminally ill. The soft Raggedy doll is approximately 12 inches high and she has red yarn hair, black button eyes, and a smiling screened face with triangular nose. She is wearing a blue floral print dress with white apron, and white bloomers, red and white striped stockings, and black shoes. Her soft brown camel friend is approximately 7 inches long and has a yellow covering with red and blue ribbon, red feet, and wrinkled knees.
