She is wearing a pink print sun dress and matching bonnet, and white underwear, while she is holding a bouquet of red, pink, and white flowers. She has a white cotton tail. Kish 2002 Spring Pearl of China Doll, Book Set, American Girls This is a 9 inch vinyl artist doll, Spring Pearl of the of Girls of Many Lands Collection by American Girl, which includes an all original doll, doll stand, and the 214 page paperback book, Spring Pearl: The Last Flower', by Laurence Yep. The doll has tan coloring, brunette hair put up in a bun with a silver leaf hairpin, painted brown eyes, and golden earrings. She is wearing an exquisite, one of a kind one aoku or tunic and trousers. The rich pink and green silk is embroidered with camellias, a symbol of spring. Tiny frogs or knots hold the jacket closed. Her feet were not bound as were those of many other 12 year old girls in China in the mid 19th century,and she has green silk slippers with pink floral motifs on platforms. She wears this costume that her mother made before she died as she walked across China to the Sung household as an orphan where she was teased about the size of her feet until they saved the family. The preowned doll and book set does not have its display container, but the doll is in near mint condition and the book is near mint except for a crinkle at the bottom of the front cover, and can be easily enjoyed free of the restrictive case. Helen Kish designed this doll. Neela, has dark coloring, brunette hair drawn back in a very long braid with a gardenia flower, painted brown eyes, and golden earrings. She is wearing an elaborate long silk orange sari with silver accents, a golden necklace, and other silver and gold jewelry including arm and ankle bracelets. The preowned set comes mint and sealed inside its original heavy cardboard box that opens like a book to reveal the doll on one side and the book on the other. The doll has her hang tag. This doll, as others in this collection did not come with undergarments as she was intended for display. She represents a girl in India in the 1930s when it struggled for freedom after over 200 years of British rule. She is wearing a wedding costume for her sister's wedding when Neela was 12 years old and recognized as a woman. The box of this old stock has minor dings on the edge, but has never been opened. Jerri Bisque Clara Doll of Nutcracker Suite 1980 Jerri McCloud's Clara with a wooden Nutcracker in 1980 was one of the earliest dolls by Jerri McCloud. She is a stunning 21 inch all-bisque doll with long dark blonde human hair wig and blue glass eyes. Her ensemble includes a white dotted swiss dress with multi-color pastel ribbon sash and white ballet slippers, from limited edition of 1,000. She was pictured March, 1990, in DOLLS magazine on page 64. At that time, she had a book value of over $1,000.00. For years she has been closed in her box to protect her from potential for earthquakes in southern California. She would prefer to get out of her box. She has all of her original packing material. She is mint-in-box and was formerly only displayed in a locked case at another shop and for that reason she is listed as reconditioned even though she's actually looks brand new. Marie Osmond 1995 Rosie Doll from Twins Series Marie Osmond 1995 12 inch Rosie from 'Twins' series, is an adorable Raggedy Ann-type girl doll with bisque (porcelain) head and hands, while the rest of body is soft fabric. She has bright red curly yarn wig with a large white bow, fixed brown glass-like eyes, eyelashes, a red nose, and red lips. Her Raggedy-style costume includesa red dress with white hearts print, white pinafore with red rickrack trim, white pantaloons with red bows. Her cloth legs are red and white peppermint-type striped like Raggedy Ann's stockings with black feet like Raggedy shoes. This doll has her tag, certificate and a bracelet. Marketed by Knickerbocker. Mary Hoyer Custom Designed Doll 1997 Mary Hoyer 14 inch, slender hard vinyl strung doll, Signed Doll from 1997, put together special and signed on the foot by the granddaughter of Mary Hoyer who was at the head of the company in 1997; has auburn ringlets wig, and has brown glass stationery eyes. Her custom designed outfit includes a tagged original teal print dress and black leatherette shoes. She looks almost like 1940s and 1950s dolls, but her eyes do not move, and she is a bit more slender than they were. This doll never had a box as she was custom assembled, as were many other of these dolls in 1997. Mary Hoyer's granddaughter designed this doll for me in 1997 when she attended a The Modern Doll Convention and show in San Diego, California. Mint condition.
